THE GADGET:
Samsung’s new thin BD P4600 “touch of color” is connected with Blu-ray player which geared to a great style conscious buyers who likes them on hanging electronics in the walls.
THE VERDICT:
Samsung’s thin and light Blu-ray player is a crazy and unexpected piece of hardware that the photos do not really do it for a justice. Though similar products like LG’s new wired and wireless blu-ray players are available in the market, Samsung’s product of this thin player is available for just US $500 for the better prohibitive for all the users as a decorative wall hanging price.
It comes with the pre loaded Netflix and Pandora, so the set up is quite easy. It can be connected with the Ethernet to a sweet Linksys Power line adaptor can run in the downstairs to the router and also with the HD 30 rock episodes in less time period. As a fact, Samsung is informing to everybody about its product which popped in T2 and soon saw Arnold emerging the molten sphere of energy.
Apart from this thin made, another special feature which has to be mentioned is its rear fan. Some of the products rear fan creates a lot of noise where the volume has to be kept in high all the time. In Samsung’s thin player, the rear fan is made for creating a noise free fan. You can watch any type of movies or hear any songs at a lower volume. Even they could not distinguish the fan’s white noise from the other white noise in the house.
This thin player has got its box called “wireless” which it requests to connect a separate Wi-Fi dongle which sometimes gets a problem with networking. Consumer electronic software plus plug in dongle equals to call the tech support. The connection is not possible with the provided password by the user but instead it will get connected only after the network password under WPA2 instead of WPA is entered. Yet another weird thing about this player is the wireless dongle which is not clearly designed for the wall hanging player. Moreover, if the player is plugged with the USB port, then it is not possible to press the player flush against the wall.

Apart from these little disadvantages, a pleasant surprise about this player is that its video decoder can support XviD and DivX movies where some of the player does not supports this kind of formats. Some audio outputs like .avi and .mp3 format play very good, though it was a filename only and not a metadata for the users.
For playing up of movies point of view, then Samsung’s slim player is really a good box. Amazon video is always on demand on all popular players like Panasonic, TiVo, Sony and roku products; it is surely a matter of time before they sign up with Ole Sammy and Ditto for Rhapsody which seems to finds its way in to lot of connected devices.
Finally, in the end, it makes sense that if you have a simple bed room set up which you do not want to mess up with a big entertainment centre. It has to be kept as a reminder that when you mall mout, you must still have to worry about the wires coming out of the back and also they make a sleek glassy cable box to go along with, so it will have something bulky under the TV set.
PRICE:
The price for this Samsung’s thin Blu-player is just 500$ which is completely for style, decent and connectedness. The make is for mainly to all the users.
