Facebook is one of the best places to connect with pals but still sometimes you might be in need of privacy. Facebook has a fantastic chat option but it does not allow the users to go invisible when they chat. An invisible of an offline mode is something which will allow a user to hide from others but still allowing him/her to chat. There is no such option in the Facebook chat which is a big disadvantage of the chatting system and no one knows whether it will be introduced later or not. There is an option to go offline but that will close the whole chat. It will make you not to chat with anyone. Hmm, well but if you want to go to invisible mode and chat then here is the little technique.

The first step is to click on the small chat window present at the right end corner. Now click on the Friend Lists button present in the small window. You will get a small slider in which there will be an option to create a new list. Type in some group name and hit enter.

Now you will get a dotted window asking you to drag your friends. Just drag the friends in your list. It is as simple as that. You can see that all your friends are added to the list.

Now it is time to go offline. You can see a small tablet like button which says “Go Offline”. Just click on that. Hooah you are finished now.

You will not appear online to those contacts in the Friends list that you created. However you will see them online but the main disadvantage of this is that you cannot tell whether the contact is really online or offline. You cannot track it.

Also be aware that if you have a contact in any other Friends list then they will see you online. So make sure you are not adding the contact in other lists.
