5 Much Needed On-Page SEO Tips

Search Engine Optimization is really needed for a Blog/site if that needs to travel a long distance. There are various types of SEO techniques that we know but those are broadly into two types, On-Page SEO and Off-Page SEO. These two are really simple to understand if you have the real search for it. The Off-page SEO is nothing but promoting the Blog/site using various methods available and making it optimized for the search engines. On-Page SEO is nothing but the same with little difference, this time the optimization is going to be done internally i.e. in your Blog/site. There are few basic things which must be followed in your Blog/site to make it completely search engine friendly. I thought of sharing few tips to make the On-Page SEO pretty easy and effective as well.

On Page SEO

Here are few,

1. Title Tag:

Take my word this is the most important factor that you need to take care. This can give your Blog/site a great hype in the Search Engine Positions in the Targeted keywords. Where the Title Tags are placed? The Title tags are placed between the tags of a Webpage. You can have Separate title tags for each and every page of your website.

You must be very careful while creating the Title tags for your Website or your Webpage as this helps a lot in the SERPs. Google spider considers this as the Anchor text and returns the result for the search based on this. So you must use your most important keyword in the title tag of your WebPages.

One best tip is to avoid the Stop words in the Title tags i.e. avoid a or an or the etc. The next important thing to note is the number of words used. I would suggest not using more than 60 words including spaces.

If you want to use different keywords for each page then I would suggest using the All-in-SEO plugin to make things easy. Have a look at the most needed SEO Plugins for your blog,

2. Heading Tags:

Well have an eye on this as this is the second most influencing factor. The heading tags are from H1 to H6 with H1 as the biggest size Generator. It is always suggested to use the h1 tag as that is given the maximum weight in the SERPs but of course that will give you a very big text in your blog. Always have the habit of using the Tags in the increasing orders in a good flow as mixing of those can make your blog look ugly.

I do not like to have h2 tags for the Main Headings as that will make your blog made for Spiders and not for humans. I would suggest you to use h4 for the main headings and h5 for the sub headings as that can make your blog look neat and clean. This can help in SERPs as well. The usage of other tags like b br can also help you but use it only when it is needed.

You must have your main keyword in the Title of your post as that will go as the URL to the post as well. You can also have your keyword in the Headings but make sure that it does not look like a spam. Use it only when it is appropriate.

3. Alt Attributes:

Make sure to use your keyword where ever you have the option to use an Alternate Text. This can help you to get good Organic traffic. The best example is the usage of Alt text for an image. There is a plugin which can help you to project the Alt text for an image in the Search results and make your effort easy. Make sure you do not spam as spiders hate that. See the following list of plugins list to know more,

4. Keywords Meta Tag:

This is not considered by any of the major search engines now but still I would suggest you to add the keywords. Yahoo was considering this until a year ago but it is being said that Yahoo does not value these. Do not stuff too much of keywords as that will be also considered as a spam. Make sure you include the main keyword in the first place followed by others. Do not add more than 4 keywords. Now Again All-in-SEO plugin can make things easy for you. 5. Description Meta Tag:

It is being said that Search Engines so not consider this Description but still you can see the description of a page sometimes in the search results. You must add a small description about the page which will be used for both the search engines and the humans. The description should not exceed 150 characters including spaces so make it short and sweet. Make sure that you add your main keywords one or two times in the description but do to stuff it. Keywords stuffing are always hated by the search engines.

Now Again All-in-SEO plugin can make things easy for you.
