It was like getting back my life back when I came to know that Google has not disabled the Page Rank system. It would have been a second shock for me this week, as the first shock for me cannot be rectified by anyone except god. Can he give back Steven Jobs?
I was shocked when I saw PR for some of my sites, all went to 0 from 3, even from 4. I was shocked to see the PR of my trx promo and flex belt coupon code blog as I have invested good amount of work in it. Ooops!!, thought all my work in the past has gone in vain and was really depressed until I confirmed that a small update from Google has caused all these confusions. So I am quite busy in replying to the messages and mails I get from my fellow bloggers about the PR issue. So I thought of writing up a quick post so that it will help all my fellow bloggers.
What Happened?
In fact nothing happened, lol. It is being said that Google has rolled out Panda 2.5 which they are doing in the recent past, this time a small change to the script that provides the Page Rank of a particular website. It is being said that the rolled out came effective from 27th September i.e., before 10 days but we started seeing the effects before a day. Google did a small change to the URL which queries the server to provide the Page Rank for a particular URL. So when people tried to see their PR in the toolbar using a third party tool it failed to show them the exact PR as the scripts were pointing to the Old URL. If you were one among those who uses Google Toolbar then you would not have got any issues as Google has changed it from its end.
The Old URL:
http://toolbarqueries.google.com/search?client=navclient-auto&features=Rank&ch=8f3b58e04&q=info:[URLHERE]
The New URL:
http://toolbarqueries.google.com/tbr?client=navclient-auto&features=Rank&ch=8f3b58e04&q=info:[URLHERE]
What can be done?
There is nothing to panic, as nothing has changed/happened. If you want to check your Page Rank then better use the Google Toolbar or use the third party tools which have changed its scripts (all good ones have done it already!!).
How to Improve your Page Rank?
I am sure all of you would know how to improve your Page Rank as you can come across thousands of explaining the stuffs in the web. Let it be, I would like to add one more thing to the list, Google +. Google is very particular in this, they have started (? Guess so) to give good weight to the pages that are being found from Google +. Google + is a free network to join, why don’t you explore it and be safe for the future?
So there is nothing to worry as if now about your Page Rank and stuffs but keep in mind that Google may revoke this anytime. So blog for humans and not for spiders!!
Happy Blogging!!
Comments are appreciated!!
