WordPress is the best Content Management system that I ever know. If you have 1 hour of time then you can set up a blog and start running it. Yes, you can make your blog look cool with the various themes present in the market. It is quite easy to set it up as well and the themes are available for all the niches. I have seen many online/offline service providers creating a custom design and running a site using HTML, PHP and Java Script to showcase their portfolio. They spend good amount of money in this as well. Hmm, well if you are one among them then you have got good solutions out here. Here is a list of Portfolio WordPress themes which will allow you to showcase your best to the world.
Here you go,

This is the best that I would suggest in the five themes. Fullscreen is stylish and nicely arranged with some extra JavaScript mouse roll over effects. It is just awesome to see the theme as it attracts all our eyes. This theme is not compatible with IE 6.0 but it can be made compatible with some small tweaks. It is well known that IE 6.0 is not in use now. You can also post Videos in the theme easily using the admin panel.
This theme suits well for a photography portfolio or a set of themes portfolio or logos portfolio.

This is also a great theme that I personally recommend. This is just awesome in its clean and neat style of design. The home page features a JavaScript photo slider. It is quite hard to install the theme but once it is done then you will forget all your efforts. It is easy to navigate in the theme and easy to edit the .css file as well.
This suits any kind of business and portfolios.

FolioGrid:

Hmm well I have not used this but have seen this in some sites. It looks cool with thumbnail kind of design and the jQuery used makes the transitions look cool. You can use your favorite color as the theme comes in different colors. It is also easy to alter the .css file and change the colors as well.
It best suits if you sell anything as you can add images and also some details of the products as well. Both of them will be featured in the front page.

Infinity:

Infinity
I have not tried this personally but have heard that it is a nice theme to use. This theme was designed by a designer from China with 3 columns and Thumbnails options. The theme comes with an in-built Twitter, Flickr and delicious integration but the theme is not widget ready which is the main drawback. This theme features number of JavaScript animations which helps the theme to survive in the competition.

Creative by Nature:

This theme is a nice looking one with all easy navigational features in it. You get loads of options in the home page of the theme unlike other themes and you can add details as well. You can add 3 categories with big thumbnails and also can portray your work with small thumbnails present in the main home page.
If you are doing any designing services then this is a best suit.
