1.5 Million iPhone 4 Sold on the launch day

It was a fabulous day for Apple as it is sold around 1.5 million iPhone 4s in a single day, according to its sources. It is a new record set by Apple itself breaking its own previous records.

The original Apple iPhone took 2 months and 14 days to touch the million mark, whereas the iPhone 3G crossed the millionth mark in just one week and also the iPhone 3GS sold the first million units in its first weekend.
Apple sold 750,000 units in United States besides launching this device in 4 other countries like France, Germany, U.K. and Japan.

Well, out of the total buyers, 77 percent were existing iPhone users, which just needed an upgrade.
