The most awaited release happened in the Google I/O meet as Google announced Android 2.2 ‘Fryo’ officially with the biggest addition of JIT (Just-In-Complier) which boosts the system speed up to 5x. The speed ranges between 2x to 5x. Other than this Google has released 20 new features which help in better API administration and exchange Integration.
One of the special additions is the new cloud-to-device messaging API which Google calls as a push notification. It is also possible to transfer the personal data to another device as well. Google conducted a demo with a brand new JavaScript engine in the Android Browser which got items in lightening speed. It is claimed to be the “world’s fastest processor”. They also introduced a Chrome Plugin which helps in sending maps from Desktop to Phone.
