There were days in which Apple iPad application sold for only $1 USD but it is expected that all the applications will cross $1 billion USD sale soon. Apple started accepting applications for iPad since they announced the release date and they are accepting till now as well.

A rough calculation estimates shows that iPad’s top 1000 applications sold out for $304,058 USD since after 1 week of iPad’s launch. It is expected that the whole amount of iPad applications will cross $300 million a year once ipad crosses USA. So if this goes in this rate the iPad applications will make an revenue of $1 billion USD in the next 2 years which is not too far away.
