Apple has confirmed the release date of iPad as May 28th for 8 more countries along with UK. iPad will be available in Canada, Germany, Australia, France, Japan, Spain, Italy and Switzerland on May 28th.

Apple also confirmed that it will release iPad in 9 other countries in the month of July. Those lists go as Singapore, Netherlands, Mexico, New Zealand, Austria, Belgium, Ireland, Hong Kong, Mexico and Luxembourg. There is no detail available on pricing and pre-order date in these countries.
