Apple Sold 300,000 Units on the First Day of Ipad’s Launch

Official news from Apple revealed that it sold more than 300,000 iPads on Saturday, which is the day the most awaited product was released in US. This is a figure which was found to be high than Apple’s iphone sales in 2007, which witnessed only 270,000. This news also conveyed that more than million ipad applications were downloaded on Saturday itself also 250,000 e-books were downloaded.

300,000 include both pre-ordered units and units sold at stores.

“It feels great to have the iPad launched into the world — it’s going to be a game changer,” said Steve Jobs, chief executive of Apple
