China is growing in population and all other aspects so it is obvious that it will grow in number of cell phone users, a recent survey has revealed that there are 1.1 Billion mobile users in China. This is till May, 2010 and the survey also revealed that 40.8 Million customers were added in the first Five months of this year.

The Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) said “China has 1.1 Billion mobile phone users with a total population of 1.3 Billion. Mobile users number has been jumped from 48.5 million to 796 million while there is a fall in land line users from 306 million to 7.8 million”

There is also increase in the Broadband users count as well.
