Google Maps for Android updated

Google has announced that the Google Maps 4.5 Mobile Application for Android Phones will be updated with two new features. Google has announced the addition of a new search bar and a speech enabled walking navigation through an official blog post in the Blog. These two new features and the Google Maps application works fine with the phones running Android 1.6 and above.

The new voice guided option will help the users to walk when they have opted for the walking option. The phone will vibrate when there is a turn in the road. The users can turn off the voice guided option as well. The new search bar is placed at the top of the map which helps filtering of the places pretty easily.
