Google secure search launched

Search giant came up with a new feature for its search engine which is the addition of secure socket layer (SSL) in all the searches. SSL can be identified by the symbol ‘s’ extra along with http in the browser which means that the data sent are encrypted and it is secure. Google has this feature in gmail and Google docs but this is the first time introduced in search. However this is only a beta version of the release.

This secured search is now available only for basic web search and not for image or map searches. Google indicates the addition of SSL to more search products in future. Google also commented that the search data will be captured although the search is made in SSL mode.
