India Ranks No.2 in Spam following US

Recent study from Sophos says that India ranks No.2 in the number of junk mails sent in the first quarter of 2010. India sends 7 Percent of world’s total junk mails while on the other hand United States is the No.1 country which is sending 13 percent of world’s spam mails.

Surprisingly the well known cybercrime maker China is placed at No.15 with just 1.9 percent. Brazil got the 3rd position in the list with a percent of 6.8. Russia, Italy and Britain share the 6th position with 3.1%.

“All eyes aren’t so much on which countries are on the list, but the one which isn’t,” said Graham Cluley, senior technology consultant at Sophos.

The following list states the countries and their spam percent:
USA – 13%
India- 7%
Brazil- 4.5%
Vietnam-3.4%
Germany-3.2%
Britian-Russia-Italy-3.1%
France- 3 %
