Karnataka,India CID to use Social Networking Sites to track crime

It is a good initiative taken by Karnataka Government CID takes social networking to splash crime news and by this way they believe that the people can be helped. They say that the initiative came from the heels of US and UK department cops who uses Facebook as a place to track crimes. The officials say the New Zealand and Switzerland also plans for the same.

The state director general of police, CID, Dr D V Guruprasad said that these social networking sites have loads of hope. Those sites can help policemen can track crimes and the people present can also help in the investigation. He also added that these sites can add transparency to the administration.
