Nintendo has released a recent numbers which says that it has sold over 71 million units worldwide. Wii also said that it has dominated the market with an upper hand of 49 percent while its rival xbox 360 made 27% and PS3 stands third with 24 percent.

In the 71 million numbers nearly 20.53 million units were sold out in the last fiscal year. Though this is a big number there were only fewer sales in US when compared to Japan. This might be due to Apple iPod and iPhone. This is the reason why Nintendo’s president called Apple as “Enemy of the future” last week.

Though Nintendo released this ratio its overall software sales went down to 191.81 million from 204.58 million.
