Samsung Galaxy S Phones to get Android 2.2 Froyo

Samsung has mercifully confirmed about the updates to Android 2.2 at an event in New York. Samsung states that all Galaxy S versions which include the Captivate, Epic 4G, Vibrant and Fascinate will be receiving the updates to android 2.2 Froyo this year and also offer compatibility with Adobe Flash Player 10.1.

All the Galaxy S version devices will be shipping with the Android 2.1 out of the gate. Samsung reports that as Froyo has already launched they are sure that there will be no shortage of pressure to get the updates fast tracked. Sprint states that it won’t be a long wait on the Epic.
