Samsung Galaxy Tablet launched in India at Rs.38,000

Samsung Electronics has launched its first ever Android based tablet in India along with the other two countries which were scheduled for a launch. The tablet will be available with a price tag of Rs.38,000 in the Indian Market starting from November 10th.

“We feel that the demand for the device will grow once the users start using the Galaxy tablet”, said Ranjit Yadav, director (mobile & IT) at Samsung India. He also added that the service providers like Airtel, Vodafone, Aircel and TATA Docomo will announce data plans soon.

Samsung India Director B. D. Park said “We expect that the device is expecting to change the lifestyle of the Indians once they start using the device”

The price of the tablet is quite high but still Samsung can make good sales in the Indian market as the iPad is not yet launched in India. Samsung Galaxy Tablet can also pair with a Bluetooth headset in receiving calls which is not in iPad. Indian gadget market is going to be a good place to play for Samsung and Apple with their Tablets but we have to wait to see the winner.
