Skype is going to launch a public “beta” test of a group video chat next week. This will allow up to five people to chat simultaneously and this will be a FREE service when it is launched. Skype will make it a paid service pretty soon after its launch, it is expected that Skype may make it a paid service after four months.

Neil Stevens, general manager of Skype’s consumer business segment said that “video chat will first be available to those who use Skype on Windows PCs, and the company expects to roll out a Mac version later this year.”

This is really a good move from Skype as they have launched new unlimited calling plans this Wednesday which will help the users to make use of this Video Chat effectively.
