It is a good initiative by the India Postal Department following the Twitter account. Mr. Sachin Pilot has released an eco friendly vehicle for all post masters which will help them to move around effectively than bicycles. The vehicle has been named as Soleckshaw.
This 25,000 worth vehicle is now available in Delhi, Ranchi and Jaipur but it will be available throughout India pretty soon. This soleckshaw is from Kinetic Motors. Sulajja Firodia Motwani, managing director, Kinetic Motor said “This vehicle will go in to operation in Rajasthan initially from which we will collect the feedback. This will help us in production during mass numbers.”
Mr. Sachin said “This is a very good effort by the Indian Government to modernize the Postal department which will help in delivering of the posts pretty fast.”
This vehicle has a top speed of 30KM/hour.
We think this is a very good initiative by the government, what you all think?
This might probably work in rural areas but in urban areas this is going to be a big time FLOP…i really don't understand when it comes to planning and stuff are indians really dumb or they try to be dumb just to fill their pockets…as you can see from picture Mr Sachin himself is not comfortable riding this vehicle how can you expect the poor postal employees to use this against the comfort of walking or riding a bicycle…???
Sachin being a youth icon should encourage things that are properly planned and executed and not get involved in things that are meant for betterment but eventually turn out to be a waste of money..!!!

to make post faster, one need to change the attitude of postal mentality and chalata hai …. evenif you provide them airplanes it is not going to speed up the postal services.
It leads to the important innovations in the future by indians.Thanks for their efforts.
A 3 wheeler Pedal Bicycle??. Feel sorry for these postmans, Their normal bicycle would be far better than this.
A small TVS Luna design with electric/solar motor and a Pizza delivery box might have just worked.

It is really a good initiative. Postal department need to verify before investing in these kind of projects as it would have a very large financial commitment. It should be piloted and after takin feedback should consider upgrading.
Of course, feedback should be taken from our post master’s before going ahead with them. overall good innovative initiative, hope it works and paves way to modern India.
