      Hi

      following is the steps for Motorola Droid however you can try this but if you still find it difficult go through Droid Forum

      # o NOT unzip it;
      # Rename the file to “update.zip” without the ” marks;
      # Take out the microSD card from your Droid;
      # Plug the microSD card into a computer using a card reader, and then drag&drop the file on the microSD card. Do not put the update.zip file into a folder or something, just put in the main folder (the one that appears when you open the microSD card);
      # Turn off the smartphone and plug in the microSD card;
      # Slide out the QWERTY keyboard and press the X key. Keep holding it, then turn the phone ON;
      # After you see the exclamation point on the display, press the volume “UP” and the camera buttons at the same time. If the bootloader doesn’t show up, then do it again until the bootloader screen shows up;
      # Using the D-pad, go to “apply:update.zip” feature, and choose the “update.zip” file that you copied on the microSD card;
      # After the process is completed, the phone will reboot and that’s it!

    Just FYI – if you upgrade to this Un-Official Version, you may lose some of your Paid Apps and you will not be able to find them in the New App Store either to re-load. The cause, from what I have read elsewhere is do to secure sites of these paid apps (MLB At bat for 1), but supposedly when the Official version is released, the issue with the missing apps will be resolved. Let's hope anyway — Bye the Bye, I used an App backup program, but it did not back up any secured apps,like MLB at Bat —

    Thank you for the great article, I am very excited. I have had my telephone for simply over a month now and am truly enjoying all the loose apps from the android market, having the ability to have the internet and navigation at my fingertips all of the time. The only lower than idea characteristic is the picture/video textual content messages, as they aren’t downloading properly.
