Sprint to Roll out Android 2.2 for EVO 4G on August 3rd

Sprint has officially announced that Froyo will be available for EVO 4G starting from August 3rd. if this happens then Sprint will become the first carrier to roll out Android 2.2. Sprint has announced this through a post in the website.

The release says about the release date and the features which will be available via this update. Sprint has also announced that not to worry about the data present on the phone now as it will not be a problem to update the Froyo. Sprint has also advised all its customers to download the Update via Wi-Fi for a fast download and also it will help in the installation without any trouble. Sprint has also started testing Froyo starting from today but of course it is not the official release. Sprint updated the Froyo for EVO 4G in its site today for few hours. Users started downloading it in no time but Sprint guys asked the users not to use this version as it is not the final release. Sprint removed the file from the site now.
