Toshiba Android AC100, an Ultra Slim Android Based Laptop

Toshiba has introduced Tegra 2 and AC 100 smart mobile internet device that gradually takes you through to a tablet PC from a phone. This piece offers a smooth transition with a 10” LED backlit screen like Android smart phones but has a hardware keyboard.

Toshiba AC 100 will be one of the first devices to be introduced in the market as Tegra 2 on a Android OS platform modified to have a keyboard component. The presence of 3G capable-Google, Android-Nvidia, Tegra-laptop makes it more powerful than a tablet PC. Other features will include 8 GB NAND flash memory and 512 MB RAM memory capacity. The 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.1, full 1080p video, SD card reader, USB and HDMI port, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi and a full-sized QWERTY keyboard are other features that are on par to a tablet PC.

Battery life of AC 100 lasts up to 7 days when untouched and is almost 8 hours while playing video. They sell this piece with preinstalled applications and other apps and widgets like Opera Mobile, Face book, Twitter, YouTube, Fring, MS Office document editor, email client and Toshiba Media Player. However, they have totally removed away with the touch screen ability.

This unusual piece is expected to be released by the Q3 of this year!
