Toshibha has launched its 128GB Embedded NAND Flash which is considered to be the highest launched by the company ever. Toshibha also unveiled the 64GB Flash cards meeting the JDEC standards. These chips includes the 16 64Gbit (16x 8GB) NAND chips fabricated with 32nm technology.
The chips will have the dimensions 17×22mm with 1.4 millimeters in thickness. Toshibha plans to use these chips in its smartphones, video cameras and tablet PCs.
The 64GB will come into production from August and the other 128GB will start from the mid September. The production of both these chips will start anytime between October and December. There is no news about the availability of these chips in the market.
Toshibha believes that the launch of these chips will help them to get a better against their competitor SanDisk.
