HP slate is expected to hit the stores at US before this year end. HP, the US based manufacturer also released many press releases and videos regarding the device featuring windows 7 but the whole tale is taking a twist now. Sources say that HP is not satisfied with the way Windows 7 is performing and thinks about the alternate plans if any.

Sources also say that HP may have plans to bring mobile computing OS as they acquired palm recently. There is also a rumor that HP is going to swipe off the release of HP slate completely. They are not satisfied with Windows 7 and also the Intel hardware was consuming more power. HP may change to Intel atom or they may cancel the whole HP Slate. Nothing is sure until the official word comes out.
