Windows XP SP2 supports ends on July 13 but Updates to continue if SP3 is present

Scare stories flourish about the risk as Microsoft ends support for Windows XP but the updates will continues if the user has installed SP3. The news reports states the dangers that companies will face when Microsoft ends its extended support program for Windows XP Service pack 2 on July 13.

Nothing will happen to Windows XP SP2 on July 14. Windows XP SP2 will be just stable and secure as it has six years of patches already applied to it. Microsoft will stop providing updates to 32 bit version of XP SP2 as it scheduled to do. If the user has 64 bit version of XP SP2 then they will get automatic updates till April 8, 2014.
