Another useful launch from HP is Simple Save External Portable Hard Disk. This disk is mainly used to backup the data in the system. It has been designed such that it can be used even by a layman i.e. there is no necessity that user must know computer operations fully.

This disk comes in 2 different storage capacities, one with 320GB and another with 550GB. These 2 have in-built software to retrieve the files from the system once the hard disk is connected. All that a user must do is connect and stay relaxed. Once the disk is connected it automatically detects all the files present in the system and it takes a backup for each and every file. If a single file is not used for more than 5 minutes then it automatically upgrades the file from the system to its storage area. Due to the heavy amount of storage capacity it is possible to store all the files in a particular system and even from more than 5 systems. It works based upon the NTFS file system and it supports all file formats as well.

There is no need of any separate power chord for the operation as it uses USB port in the system for working. HP used the latest technology to configure the hardware parts inside the disk and it keeps the disk always cool even if we use it 24*7. An important point to be noted is that there is no fan inside the disk. Price of 320GB disk 1200$* USD and 550GB comes for 1600$* USD.

There is no doubt that this simple save disk is yet another feather in HP’s cap.
